  • Young investigator recruited to The John P. Robarts Research Institute in 1997 from Stanford University.
  • Completed her doctoral studies at the University of Western Ontario under the supervision of Dr. Aaron Fenster in the area of dynamic computed tomography for vascular applications.
  • Post-doctoral fellowship at Stanford University with Dr. Norbert Pelc in the area of myocardial motion characterization from velocity encoded MRI data.
  • Strong independent research program in cardiovascular MRI, recognized by MRC scholarship award in 1998 and The Canadian Foundation for Innovation New Opportunities Award in 1998.
  • Peer-reviewed funding from the Medical Research Council of Canada, including membership in the MRC Group in Vascular Imaging with 14 papers and 17 abstracts published or submitted over the last 5 years.
  • 2 US and international patents.
  • Reviewer for several international journals and member of MRC Doctoral Research Award review committee.
  • Growing national and international stature in cardiovascular imaging as demonstrated by role as invited speaker at international conferences.
  • Research focus - the application of MRI and computed tomography for the diagnosis, and during treatment, of cardiac diseases.
